Ornamental Tulip Tattoo.
This is the first time I use this much red color in my design, also this was done at LAB 01 tattoo studio, my first time doing guest work although it is in Bali still LOL. It was actually because my previous tattoo studio DUE HATUE decide to close the studio door for good, My mentor decide to stop tattooing and close the tattoo studio and now he is focus on creating silver jewelry.
This designs is inspired by Japanese art of arranging flower called IKEBANA. Overall this design inspired by tenun Sumba vibes, the blocking solid black and if you notice the pot is in white or invert space.
The first pot originally intended as a swan and its wings and a different idea struck my head and it just happen naturally creating the design as it is.
Taken from my Flash Design collection, taking flash design collection rather than doing a custom design is lowkey the best way to appreciate the artist craft and value they bring to design itself IMHO :) I do love to do custom design for sure, it is just spark a different creativity approach than doing a flash design.
The placement and size decided by my client in this way, so every time he use a short the tattoo only appear on the pot part and I really love this idea and well I never thought of something like this. Flower and floral thing really doing great with my tattoo style, should do something like this even more hehehe.
