Ornamental Leg Tattoo With Batik Motif Inspired.
Batik and Tenun Motif Tattoo
Another big project in my apprentice time at Due Hatue. The leg band part is pretty much the biggest challenge in this project and it was the first time I do this kind of placement LOL T___T
The main idea of this overall design motif chosen and placement is to mimicking the core idea of Songket cloth and Batik vibes. the Shin part is inspired by batik composition and the side pattern and the band inspired by songket design composition.
Ornamental work inspired by batik motif working in progress.
Bold ornamental work with bright red accent is inspired by the color of Tri Datu.
The rigid pattern on band, side pattern and the bottom part on the shin and the calf are inpired by motif of west Sumatra songket.
This tattoo design is actually taken from my flash design collection, two design that I combine together to create this unique Ornamental leg piece, the side part come later to fill the empty side yet still leave some gap breathe space. Down here are the healed picture around 3 month after the session.
If you appreciate tattoo design that has bold character yet you still love the idea of absence, empty space or negative space, my tattoo style is build around that idea and maybe it is time to us get in touch to discus your next tattoo project ;)
